Towarowa Giełda Energii (TGE) and Izba Rozliczeniowa Giełd Towarowych (IRGiT) summarised the activities of participants in the markets operated by the TGE in the past year. At a gala ceremony held on 23 June in Żnin, 14 awards were presented by TGE, including 13 prestigious Platinum Megawatt statuettes and one special award, coupled with three Settlement awards handed out by IRGiT.

The awards went to the most active market participants whose activities have significantly contributed to the development of trading in electricity, natural gas, property rights and guarantees of origin.

Speaking at the event Piotr Listwoń, President of the Management Board of TGE, said:

“My sincere congratulations go to all the winners of the 2024 “Platinum Megawatt” awards. This year’s 15th edition of the Summary of the Exchange Year has been an opportunity not only to honour market leaders, but also to recognise the commitment and professionalism of participants who shape the Polish energy sector on a daily basis. The “Platinum Megawatt” and “Settlement” awards are a symbolic representation of our joint effort to build a transparent, competitive and stable trading system that responds to the challenges of a modern energy sector. The event confirmed the crucial role played of the exchange market in the development of both the national and international economy.
